About you
You are an experienced Support Desk Manager with five years of support desk work on your CV, ideally in a healthcare / clinical setting.

ITIL qualified, you are committed to delivering world-class service to the customer base. You think quickly, are pro-active to the needs of customers and can deal with many competing priorities to ensure a first-rate service is provided on our busy helpdesk servicing several NHS Trusts.

Flexible enough to react to the rapidly changing demands of our business, you enjoy picking up new technologies and system knowledge as you go, and then sharing this knowledge with others in the team.

Skills & Requirements

Essential skills

Supporting web-based applications

Working with an incident tracking tool (ideally FreshDesk & Jira)

Working with agile methodologies

Clear communication skills - both verbal and written

Excellent report writing skills

Desirable skills
Basic systems administration experience, e.g. restarting services, querying log files (ideally on Linux)

Creating and modifying workflows for incident tracking

Knowledge of version control software (ideally Git)

Querying databases with SQL (ideally MySQL)

Desirable experience

Healthcare applications

Mentoring and encouraging junior support staff
