The Settlements Managers knowledge; * Money-market; * Foreign Exchange; * Fixed Income securities; * Discounting inter-group UPAS (Usance Payable at Sight) bills; * Participation in Commercial lending, including secondary market; * Invoice financing; * Import/Export letters of credit (advising, confirmation, negotiation, etc); * Forfaiting/bills discounting (EUBD/Export Usance Bills Discounting); * Multi-currency payment services to support Bank Mandiri Group and corporate customers; Client Details An international state owned bank with offices in London. Description The Settlements manager will be responsible for; * Maintaining Current/Deposit accounts for Corporate customers; and requires a hands-on approach, with the primarily objective to * Manage and supervise the Settlements Department, achieving targeted levels of processing volumes; ensuring all operations including Foreign Trade / Export Finance Trade operations are delivered in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner; * Maintain and manage department's performance monitoring, staff training and development programme to minimise operational risks; * Ensure the department strictly adheres to and operates within regulation governed by the Bank's Policies and Procedures, including but not limited to International Chamber of Commerce rules (ICC)/SWIFT/Anti-Money Laundering/Bribery & Corruption/ and UK Regulatory requirements; * Ensure consistency in processes, controls and standards for each of the trade operations, identifying the areas of work to eliminate all possible risks to bank and its customers by reviewing and maintaining the departments Policies & Procedures in accordance with the Bank's governance and controls; * Support the Treasury, FI and Corporate Relationship team to provide efficient and prompt services to the bank's customers in order to increase volume of business and income, while safeguarding its customers against fraud and money laundering transactions; * Develop and maintain high professional approach and relations with correspondent banks to ensure maximum co-operation in problem resolution or responses to inquiries; * Review and maintain the department's systems requirements; * Monitor all payments - including verification, authorisation and to release SWIFT messages (within prescribed authority limit); * Provide timely and accurate information to both internal and external auditors, when required; * Support Business development in relation to matters concerning Settlements department including liaison with the bank's Parent Bank, as required; * Review and ensure all investigations and handled and resolved to any outstanding items on Nostro accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
