We are currently looking for an Automotive Features System Engineer to work for a major Automotive organisation based in Warwickshire, West Midlands

Rate: From £22.00 to £25.54 per hour Ltd Co.

Hours: 40 per week

The Role:

*System Engineer - Automotive Features

*Our client is a world class and respected developer of Premium SUVs and Luxury cars

*An increasingly important part of vehicles in this segment are the software intensive features that lead to products that are very much more than the sum of their parts

*With a strong focus on the needs of our customer, our client is aggressively seeking to deliver many new and innovative features across a range of already complex mechatronic products

*This is your opportunity to help in the creation of those features which our customers will perceive as world class

*As a system engineer you will be responsible for undertaking the functional design activities in the early stages of the feature definition

*These activities provide consistent systems engineering approach to support the delivery of user/customer requirements specifications in form of documents and models into a system requirements specification

*By using model-based systems engineering techniques, the team contributes to the overall understanding of the expected feature functionality

*This position includes the following tasks:

- System Requirements Specification and Design

- Carrying out a full range of functional analysis and investigations, preparing customer requirements specifications and developing functional designs

- System Functional and Physical Architecture

- Design Verification and Validation against customer requirements

Skills Required:

3 Key Skills:

- Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector
- Minimum 3 years Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Requirements Management (RM)

Experience Required:

*Ideally degree qualified or equivalent

*Good verbal and written communications

*Analytical and problem solving skills

*Track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills

*Experience in SysML / IBM Rational Rhapsody / IBM Rational DOORS

*Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements capture, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance

Experience Preferred:

*Project management skills

*Experience in Embedded Systems and Systems of Systems development

*Preference for 5 years of relevant experience

Additional Information:

*Potential for work to be located within Warwickshire with occasional travel to Coventry sites

*40 hours per week with 3.30pm finish on Fridays
