The Opportunity

Our client is recognised as the world’s largest manufacturer in the production of safety equipment. Its reputation is highly regulated on the quality and care of its products and is highly regarded in its field. Its products are made to measure, with a track record of supplying major military markets around the globe, as well as commercial customers. Due successful changes in the business, there is a need to appoint a highly commercial and driven Finance Director, to play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial aspects of the company’s strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to get their hands dirty in all areas of the business, with a view to developing their skills for that next step up the ladder!

The Role

As part of the Executive Team, the Finance Director will be expected to lead, manage and direct Finance, Payroll, IT and Office Management teams - ensuring effective strategic planning and operational performance to deliver the company’s business plan.

This is an exciting time to join the company as they enter their next phase of growth. You will not only be accountable for the company's financial control systems, you will be expected to build key relationships locally and globally. This role is very hands on, and you will be expected to implement internal controls/processes on income gained to the business. Financial planning and reporting is key, and you must be able to continually support the business growth through ensuring the maintenance of high visibility and communication in the business.

The Requirements

Prospective candidates will be have an interest in making their make in this company. There is huge opportunity for growth for someone with a keen interest or has Finance, IT and business management from within the manufacturing sector. They are looking for someone with strong work ethics and the ability to work well both within a team, and under their own initiative. Experience of working in capital management, IT, systems infrastructure and integration is a must, as well as eperience of IT systems and infrastructure. ERP system in use is EFACS E/8 (SQL database); Knowledge of SQL database; Systems implementation and subsequent upgrades.
