We are looking for an experienced Accounts Clerk to join an established accounts team at our client’s head office in Grantham. The role has become vacant due to an internal transfer and they are able to offer a supportive professional environment with a very strong record of staff retention. There is also the opportunity for some flexibility in hours and excellent staff benefits.

The purpose of this role is to post expense and cash transactions and process and provide accurate information to the rest of the accounts team and the wider business across multiple locations.

You will be responsible for daily bank reconciliations, entering information and allocating payments accurately and disseminating information to separate profit centres, processing expenses and resolving queries. You will need to be experienced in processing staff expense claims for payroll plus the necessary understanding of relevant legislation relating to VAT, mileage, entertaining etc. and be raise queries where necessary.

We are looking for someone with an understanding of accounting principles, sales and purchase ledgers and expenses, either with an accounting qualification or qualified by experience. Ideally you will be used to working across multiple sites and be comfortable with liaising with multiple contacts within the wider business. You will need to be personable, accurate, thorough, orderly and derive a genuine satisfaction from completing tasks in an organised and timely fashion.
