We are currently recruiting for an experienced temporary Finance Assistant to work within a Global Bank with their London head office. Our Bank is based in Central London and the ideal candidate must have advanced knowledge of Access and Excel . Without this, you won't be considered. Job


Timely reconciliation of nostro and control accounts and clearance of reconciling items, along with monitoring and reporting on the reconciliation status of all general ledger accounts.

Able to manage and manipulate complex spreadsheets, (macros, pivot tables etc).

Maintenance of purchase ledger, including invoice tracking, VAT accounting, and payment generation.

Preparation of daily balance sheet and profit & loss account, management information and liquidity returns for senior management.

Daily review of FX position for the Bank, all inter-branch positions and all sundry Asset and Liability accounts. To provide assistance to the Financial Controller as required

Preferred Skills:

Graduate in Accounting or Finance, preferably 2.1 or above.

Ideally minimum 1 year experience in a finance department

Advance user of MS Excel and Access Strong communication, interpersonal, team working and organisational skills.

Good report writing skills. Highly numerate and analytical with ability to interpret statistical information. Good influencing skills and able to present persuasive arguments.

Ability to think practically and translate concepts into effective. processes.

Able to demonstrate learning agility.

Attention to detail and pride in work output.

Demonstrate a pursuit of excellence that will deliver and maintain the best in class standards.
