Business Analyst / Project Manager

A Business Analyst / Project Manager is needed to join the IT department of an independent provider of specialised corporate, trust and fiduciary services. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst / Project Manager to take ownership of delivering major IT projects.

For over 40 years this independent provider has earned a reputation of excellence, working closely with their client base of international businesses, financial institutions, investment funds, HNW individuals and intermediaries. Undergoing recent investment within the technology suite they are now seeking a Business Analyst / Project Manager to introduce efficiency to the operations teams whilst enhancing the client service offering.

Joining as a Business Analyst / Project Manager you will be responsible for delivering a number of projects, such as the implementation of a new interactive client service portal, future implementations and upgrades of the core Fiduciary platform (ViewPoint) and automation of workflows. In short, you will gather and agree requirements with the Fiduciary business stakeholders, removing any ambiguity and documenting them in a manner whereby they're understood by both the stakeholders and technical delivery teams. You will have the freedom to determine the optimal project management methodology, i.e. iterative vs waterfall.

Although based in London you will be required to travel to the global offices on a reasonably frequent basis in order to fulfil responsibilities.

To qualify. You should be a Business Analyst / Project Manager / IT Business Analyst / IT Project Manager / Technical Project Manager / IT PM or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

  • Experience in a similar Business Analyst / Project Manager role;
  • Strong requirement gathering techniques;
  • The ability to simplify requirements and translate them for target audience, often IT support/developers;
  • In depth knowledge of project management techniques Iterative (agile) vs waterfall;
  • Experience organising and supporting both technical and user acceptance test cycles;
  • The ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation;
  • Good presentation skills;
  • Good technical skills with a broad understanding of IT infrastructure and software development techniques;
  • Must be able to work under pressure and at pace, managing risks, issues and dependencies across multiple projects;
  • You are a strong influencer;
  • Strong MS Project, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.

Any experience or exposure to Fiduciary administration, SQL coding or ViewPoint would be advantageous.
