Accounts Receivable Controller (Part Time)

20 hours per week 10am - 2pm

6 - 8 Week temporary role - immediate start

Our client based in Luton is a highly successful, fast-paced business that employ over 10,000 people.

Accounts Receivable Controller Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager - Transactions, you will be a key member of the accounts receivable / credit control function and will be required to perform all the actions which accompany that role including.
  • Cash collection of all debtors groups, including airport sales, ancillary revenue streams such as car hire and accommodation etc., engineering, marketing and charter customers.
  • Liaising with customers on a constant basis.
  • Allocation of cash on a daily basis, request remittances.
  • Maintenance of the sales ledger customer Master file, including set up of new customer accounts, product codes & VAT validation.
  • Resolving customer queries on a timely basis (within a 48hr rotation).
  • Issuing copy invoices and reports when requested.
  • Running monthly reports and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsibility for reporting the monthly KPI's.
  • Support & deliver training within the business to provide an efficient and effective service.
  • Act as cover for the other team member within the credit control function.
  • Maintaining the process documentation for the credit control function.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc queries to support the wider Central finance function.

Key Skills Required

  • Experience of Accounts Receivable / Credit Control
  • Sound knowledge of Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • An excellent telephone and customer service approach
  • Ability to instigate, embrace and implement change
  • A self-starter who is highly organised
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo and seek new ways of working is critical as we continually drive process improvements
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Diligence and accuracy
  • MUST be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent (GCSE English and Maths
