Premium Resourcing are actively recruiting an experienced Delivery Manager on behalf of our client; an award-winning delivery-focused IT consultancy with over 25 years’ software delivery and IT advisory experience. They are renowned for technical excellence and cost-effective delivery.

With a team in excess of 800 employees based in one of seven offices including Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, Glasgow and New York, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to substantially increase their portfolio value.

Their clients include some of the world’s largest companies including government departments, investment banks, retailers, commodity traders and retail banks.

  • This is a full-time permanent position
  • Basic salary circa £75k (negotiable dependent on experience)

The Role

The Delivery Manager is a fundamental part of the delivery model, acting as that key person who manages the team delivering quality products to clients.

Our client looks to excel and exceed client expectations by gaining the confidence and trust of clients by demonstrating said qualities.

The delivery teams look to the Delivery Manager to be ahead of the game when it comes to obstacles and blockers, be adaptable and resilient, have a high attention to detail and be adaptable whilst solving problems.

The Candidate

  • Minimum of 3 commercial years’ experience
  • Agile expert – experienced in the key phases of an Agile project: Feasibility, Discovery and Delivery; understand how to manage risk and be able to ensure best practice with regards to SDLC
  • Experience of using task management tools such as JIRA or VersionOne
  • Possess a hands-on technical background, such as Infrastructure, Operations, Development, Assurance or Architecture. You must be able to decipher technical jargon and potentially be ‘hands-on’ with certain delivery tasks
  • In-depth knowledge of delivery using Agile is essential in order to meet with their client’s expectations
  • Experience in a client facing role - being able to bring together business and technical stakeholders is crucial to managing successful delivery. Delivery Managers must be able to communicate effectively and with different audiences, be able to manage upwardly and downwardly to a variety of stakeholders – from teams of Engineers, Product Owners and Analysts, to key representatives elsewhere in the business and outside of the delivery team
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a related field is advantageous but not essential
