Internal Communications Specialist

My client is a global multi-national Oil & Gas brand recognisable to every road user. Due to an internal secondment the interim position of Internal Communications Specialise is available on a 6 month contract.
Your new role
As a central job within the global communications team, you will be responsible for supporting a worldwide team of 10 within internal and external communications to deliver engaging initiatives across the business.
The Communications Function aims to build the brand's reputation by proactively and systematically putting forward a clear, concise set of messages supported with powerful proof points to defined target audiences, informed by and underpinned with research insights. Your job will ensure the efficient operation of the communications team and support colleagues to deliver a range of communications activities, products and tools; you will source, research, interview, write and edit content / support the internal communications team to deliver varied creative campaigns / co-ordinate, design and develop internal communication materials / assist in the delivery of internal events / and in particular you will assist the digital communications manager in publishing news articles online, keeping the intranet up-to-date, managing distribution lists, sending out employee communications and proactively encouraging conversations online.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual who is calm under pressure and can work proactively. You will have experience across a range of internal communications channels and be confident in copywriting, content creation, & events organisation. In particular you will have a flare for digital communications in order to support with online content creation, intranet & web updates, content management and video editing etc. You will also be comfortable with a range of administrative tasks including diary management, room bookings and budgetary elements. This role is pivotal to the successful running of the communications function.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a daily rate of between £150 - £230 per day, depending on experience. You will potentially have the opportunity to extend or apply permanently for your post.
