Status: Permanent / Full Time
Salary: £22-£26k per annum, plus pension contribution
Location: Bolton Lads and Girls Club Sites
Main Purpose of the role:
Providing a range of services across Bolton for over 5000 children and young people each year, we are looking for an exceptional and creative marketing and communications professional to join our team. You will work closely with the Chief Executive taking ownership for developing and implementing the marketing and communications strategy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual to raise our profile, grow brand awareness, promote our work, increase reach and impact and help generate funds. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a broad range of communications and marketing skills.
You will be expected to take ownership of and make full use of our website, social media and printed communications to achieve our aims.
Key Responsibilities:To be responsible for the marketing and promotion of the charity to new and existing supporters, maintaining and increasing our visibility by developing a strategy that will include the website, press, social media and printed communications.To act as a lead on all social media marketing, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and YouTube - providing new content and monitoring each channel daily.To develop the use of the supporter database ensuring targeted communicationsTo achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media channels * To plan, edit and manage the production of the charity's internal and external newsletter and e-newsletters * To assist with representing the charity at events, talks and presentationsTo manage the website and ensure its vibrancy and up to dateTo oversee the use of the Clubs brand, and ensure brand guidelines are adoptedTo provide high level executive support to the CEO including diary management, dealing with correspondence and liaising on her behalfTo support the Board of trustees through minuting of meetings and providing reports

Experience of working in a Marketing role
Excellent IT skills; specifically Microsoft Office but additional software programs and platforms would be an advantage
Experience of website management, preferably word press.
Enthusiastic and positive attitude; flexible and adaptable
Collaborative team-player who will get involved in whatever needs to be done to achieve BLGCs aims
The hours of work are 35 working hours per week to be worked flexibly in line with the needs of the Club. This is not a 9-5 post and will involve working some unsocial hours in the evenings and at weekends.
