PPC Marketing Manager

Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

Our client, a leading UK household name on-line retailer, are currently looking for an experienced Paid Search Manager who is driven and motivated, with a strong analytical background. The main focus of the role will be hands-on campaign management to optimise the PPC campaigns to their full potential, as well as providing analytical support to the business.

• Support the Biddable Media Manager to determine the paid search strategy across our two brands, taking into account best practice and paid search innovations
• Ensure that traffic, sales and ROI targets are hit by:
o Analysing channel performance & bid optimisation in order to encourage order and revenue growth
o Performing regular campaign reviews to ensure high traffic – low converting terms are looked at carefully and ad copy and website changes are made to improve performance
o Working closely with the Buying team to ensure keyword research is done for new products and that the campaign is continually expanded and up to date
o Working closely with the Web Trading Team look to at A/B testing alternative landing pages and landing page designs to drive ad-group conversion rates
o Planning of seasonal campaigns
• Development and management of budget and revenue plans with regular reporting of performance to senior management
• Work with the organic team to build synergies between paid and organic search
• Work on strategic marketplace analysis to ensure best product offering at best pricing
• Analyse search trends to build business plans for new product areas
• Look to utilise other biddable media channels to push growth, such as remarketing and shopping comparison engines
• Produce business reporting for review by senior management
• At least three years proven paid search experience (either client or agency side), one of which must have been for an ecommerce store
• GAP qualified
• Experience of structuring paid search accounts
• Passionate about and driven by online analytics and data, able to analyse large sets of data
• Strong knowledge and experience of Google Analytics and Adobe SiteCatalyst (preferred)
• Experience with bid management tools, Marin preferred
• An understanding of product feeds desirable
• An understanding of online display advertising
• Sound knowledge of other online customer acquisition channels
• Results driven and passionate about ecommerce / online
• A desire to have a broad experience of all aspects of online acquisition marketing
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with good interpersonal skills and initiative
