Key Accountabilities

* Providing performant data warehouse for insight and report purposes
* Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
* Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
* Ensure data is secure
* Be accountable for assisting various stakeholders with data-related technical issues, supporting the companies data infrastructure needs
* Work with business and development teams to design, build and document simple data dashboards, alerts, and reports

GENERAL
* Project / Work Planning

* Business Requirements and Analysis
- Works with Business Intelligence Analyst to understand business needs
- Analyses business and functional requirements and translates these requirements into robust, scalable, operable data solutions

* Develop and Implement
- Collects, analyses, and shares data to help business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience, and business results
- Utilises database and web application technologies to design, develop, and evaluate innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports
- Designs, develops and tests business intelligence solutions such as databases, data warehouses, queries and views, reports, and dashboards
- Performs data conversions, imports, and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems
- Merges business intelligence platforms with enterprise systems and applications

* Testing
- Leads or provides direction for the planning, designing, and execution of user testing efforts for all data back-end initiatives and simple data reports

* Production Support
- Troubleshoots business intelligence tools, systems, and software
- Troubleshoots reported data loads or reconciliation inconsistencies in

* Quality Assurance
- Ensures the collected data is within required quality standards
- Maintains the quality of the data model and metadata repository by adding, modifying, and deleting data (specifying attributes and operations)

* Policies, Standards and Procedures
- Provides input and adheres to process, policies and standards


* Reports
- Works closely with customer service/business stakeholders and Business Intelligence Analyst to create ad hoc data reports to support timely business decisions and project work, reviewing existing/agreeing new reports, and setting them up as necessary

Experience and Skills

REQUIRED

Technical
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or specialised training/certification. Or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years of Data Analysis / Engineering or related technical experience
* Data analysis and manipulation: experience analysing large volumes of data and a solid understanding of database principles and efficiencies desirable
* Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL technologies
* Proven experience on MS SQL DBA
* Deep experience in data warehouse, data integration and data modelling. Strong data sensitivity and rich experience dealing with large-scale data in terms of storage, integration, tuning and analysis
* Rich experience dealing with data for analysis or integration through programming languages such as Python, C#, Scala, Perl etc.
* Background and expertise in supporting or working with Business Intelligence environments, databases, in memory data stores and scaling
* AWS or MS Azure
* Exposure to data integration, and RDBMS, and prior experience in programming with RESTful API
* Prior exposure to web and big data analytical tools

DESIRED
* Familiarity with one or more retail digital / e-commerce applications or systems
* Familiarity with Omni channel retailing
* Experience in a b2c e-commerce environment, ideally global as well as UK
* Knowledge of big data technologies MVT as a discipline
* Experience with Tableau
* Knowledge of the drinks industry a distinct advantage but not essential
