Risk Manager Governance Manager Financial Services

We are looking for a strong Risk Manager Governance Manager with a strong Financial Services background to work for an exciting client in Sussex, South London, the Risk Manager Governance Manager must have FS risk experience and if possible 5 years’ risk experience (some of it within FS) and a track record of ability to manage multiple stakeholders with conflicting agendas and the Risk Manager Governance Manager must have the ability to build good working relationships with all levels of staff in an operation.

JOB PURPOSE
The primary responsibility of the Senior Governance and Risk Lead is to act as an expert source of knowledge in relation to risk and corporate governance and provide leadership.

PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
* Lead the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the Clinical Effectiveness Strategy
* Lead the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the Risk Management Strategy changing legislation and regulation and to ensure they support continuous improvement
* Support lead clinicians and managers, develop strategic approaches for the delivery of services within the designated area of responsibility using facts and information from areas of best practice, national and local guidance and apply to a whole system way of working
* Support the development and implementation of the Quality Report to the Board and Quality Dashboard by working with the Board, senior management team and frontline clinical staff to develop and report upon appropriate quality metrics and indicators relevant to the work of the team
* Support the development and publication of the annual Quality Account and Quality Report, ensuring appropriate consultations and involvement with internal and external stakeholders throughout the process.
* Support the Assistant Director of Governance and Risk in ensuring NHS Improvement requirements in relation to corporate and clinical quality management as set out in the Quality Governance Framework are met.
* Lead the serious incident review process within the Trust ensuring robust, objective investigations and identifying assurance mechanisms in relation to learning form incidents
* Provide expert advice, information and support to senior managers, clinicians and committees on matters relating to governance and risk Receive, assimilate, analyse and present highly complex information to both individuals and groups which may be contentious and sensitive and where agreement and cooperation to action is required.
* Identify and apply for external initiatives/funds that support areas of service improvement.
