Hinge is a forward looking digital agency in Southampton that specialises in web & mobile apps. We’ve got ambitious plans and we’re looking for a talented junior / graduate web developer to join our team.
You'll play a key role as part of our development team, helping to build functional, responsive websites and mobile apps using HTML5, CSS3 & Javascript. We work predominately with WordPress and Laravel so knowledge and experience in PHP is essential.
You don’t have to be a rockstar/superhero/ninja/Jedi, we’re just looking for someone who is genuinely interested in development, loves learning new skills, working as part of a team to build something great and is eager to get to work every day & try something new.

Your duties will include:
  • Supporting our existing development team on on-going website and ionic app projects
  • Taking on new website builds from scratch
  • Assisting in the regular maintenance of client’s websites and apps
  • Having an active role in client meetings and workshops

Required Skills:
  • Good communication skills, written & verbal
  • HTML5 & CSS3(SASS/Less)
  • Javascript/jQuery
  • Responsive website build
  • Cross-browser support/testing
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • Working knowledge of WordPress
  • Use of preprocessors such as Grunt, Gulp or Webpack

It’d be a bonus, but not expected, if you have experience with:
  • Vue.js
  • Ionic App Dev
  • Laravel & Spark
  • Understanding of HMVC Frameworks
  • Understanding of OOP
  • Experience with Mac OS and Sketch
