Credit Risk Analyst - Modelling
Location - Coventry
Salary - £30,000 to £38,000

A large, fast paced financial company are looking for an experienced Credit Risk Analyst to join the growing team. You will be working to directly contribute to the company's growth in the UK market. The role is sitting within the Model Development team and the experienced analyst will be working on some large-scale projects within the Stress Testing area and be working to design, develop, document and implement all forecasting and stress testing models, ensuring that they meet regulatory and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design and development of all forecasting
  • Develop stress testing models and lead through to implementation
  • Produce and analyse all results
  • Provide insight and analysis to senior managers and stakeholders - this will be involve looking at capital, provision and losses under various economic scenarios
  • Build relations within the Credit Risk and finance areas of the business and present results by developing and delivering analysis presentations
  • Be involved in production of analysis and narrative to support the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment process (ICAAP) as well as testing the strategic plan against credit risk appetite



Skills Required

  • Experience of working in an analytical environment - preferably modelling
  • Exposure to working in a Credit Risk department is beneficial
  • Strong proactive and innovation approach
  • Be able to identify opportunities and solutions that deliver incremental business benefit through the leveraging of data and analytics
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Good influencing skills
  • Proven track record of being able to communicate results and their quantitative analysis, both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of working with statistical packages such as SAS is required for this role
  • Any knowledge of working with anything similar such as SQL or VBA is essential
