German speaking Customer Service professional with a mechanical engineering slant is required for an international engineering company in Basingstoke. 30k pa, parking on site and a 2.30pm finish on Fridays! Starts ASAP

The Customer Service / Technical Support Advisor will be working as part of a busy team, supporting new and existing customers, and the activities of Regional Sales Managers and Engineers. You'll need to be fluent in both German and English, and in time, you'll also be responsible for your own group of designated accounts. This is an excellent position to join a successful organisation and be part of a small and successful team.

As a Customer Service / Technical Support Advisor you will be:
  • Responsible for order management, incorporating order entry and acknowledgement; planning despatches; date management based on Planning and Purchasing reports
  • Reporting and generation of documentation in line with customer and internal expectation
  • Providing prompt and comprehensive responses to customer queries relating to quotations pricing, stock availability, delivery and complaints
  • Become the customer’s voice within the business, and aspire to exceed customer expectation, and to develop and optimize the relationship
    Recommending solutions to presented applications and challenges
  • Qualifying and actioning or allocating enquiries from new suspects or prospects
  • Pro-actively contacting existing and potential customers in support of external sales activities
  • Maintaining the central repository for data relating to application, technical or product specific information, ensuring timely distribution to relevant personnel within the business
  • Assuming ownership of arising issues, ensuring full investigation and timely resolution
  • Co-ordinating product returns in line with the defined RMA process
  • Producing reports and other documents as deemed necessary, in line with internal and customer expectation
  • Assisting Customer Services in all functions during times of absence or excessive workloads
  • Delivering all daily processes with consistent accuracy, while working within tight timelines
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Fluent English and German both spoken and written
  • Must have knowledge of load cells and sensors. Mechanical engineering experience would be desirable
  • Customer Service Experience in a Technical Support role within a B2B manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Above average levels of numeracy, literacy and IT skills are expected
  • Relationships will be developed via telephone, email and occasionally, face-to-face, therefore good presentation and communication skills are vital
  • Enthusiastic team player with the ability to prioritise
  • Unafraid to take on new challenges and develop within a demanding environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT and ERP skills
  • Mechanical engineering degree preferred but not essential
  • Strong physics 'A’ level would be considered
Associated Benefits:
