If so we are activelyseeking candidates to join our development teams in Feltham as GraduateSoftware Engineer in Test.What You'll DoAs a member of this dynamic and international team, you will play anintegral part in the DevOps software engineering process, workingcollaboratively on industry leading products throughout the fullproduct-development lifecycle.The successful candidate for this role will be a flexible individual whoenjoys working in a fast-paced team, working on ensuring the quality andreliability of the delivered service. You would be working on a complexnext-generation media service as well as developing tools andmicroservices for the Cisco Spark infrastructure.You will be following an Agile Scrum-like process in managing workload,prioritising work, communicating progress and Sprint planning. You willbe responsible for development, testing, delivery and monitoring forevery work item you contribute to. You might also be required tointeract with the Cisco Cloud and Spark teams based in Sillicon Valeyvia our advanced conferencing solutions and on occasion throughfully-funded business travel.Primary Responsibilities Creating and maintaining automated tests, and contributing to our test infrastructure (Python) Developing monitoring systems Working on new tools and frameworks to increase efficiency Maintenance and monitoring of our Continous Integration and Continuos Delivery pipeline (Jenkins)Who You'll Work WithCloud Collaboration Technology Group (CCTG) is part of a specialistcentre for Cisco Collaboration Engineering located at Cisco EMEARheadquarters in Feltham and Uxbridge. Our group builds cutting-edgemedia technologies, deployed daily to numerous datacentres around the world.As a modern, quality focused group, we are responsible for designing,building and running scalable and reliable services. We provide thebest-in-class audio and video experience that Cisco customers ofproducts like WebEx and Spark enjoy and expect. We combine a deep wellof experience with leading edge technologies for developing anddeploying code quickly and reliably, following a 24 hour automatedproduction deployment process.Required Skills Ability to multi-task and solve complex problems Ability to self-motivate with a strong desire to learn and ability to be flexible Proven track record of learning new technologies and features on own initiative A demonstrable passion for technology Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills, able to parse the symptom into possible causes and methodically isolate variables to determine the root cause Creative, imaginative, enjoys taking things apart to understand how they work, breaking things and figuring out how to fix them Be able to write maintainable, well-structured code and have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming Knowledge of PythonDesirable Skills Experience of TCP/IP networking, VoIP and Video applications Exposure to video and audio encoding, and processing techniques and technologies Familiarity with multithreaded/event driven/asynchronous software. Familiarity with virtualisation software and containers (Docker). Familiarity with open source tools like GStreamer and OpenCV Exposure to cryptographyEducation Background: Recently graduated or in your final year of studies towards a Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in an Engineering or Scientific discipline.
