About the Role
To provide IMCA and RPR services to individuals across the County of Surrey who are qualifying patients under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
From 1st April 2018 Matrix will be operating the contract for providing IMCA, Non-instructed Care Act Advocacy and Relevant Persons Representative (RPR) across Surrey.
Matrix also provides Care Act Advocacy in Surrey prisons, as well as operating within private hospitals such as Cygnet in Knaphill, Shrewsbury Court Independent Hospital in Redhill and St Magnus in Haslemere.
The IMCA/RPR will initially work closely with the existing ‘Advocacy in Surrey’ advocacy service based at Abraham Cowley Unit (main office base), as well as at Farnham Road Hospital. The expectation is that the IMCA/RPR will be home-based, and travel will be paid from that address.
In addition to your IMCA duties, the expectation is that the successful candidate will hold an ongoing RPR caseload. Where possible these will be allocated depending on proximity to your home address to minimise travel.
Please note that this vacancy is not part of Surrey County Council, we are advertising this on behalf of a partnership organisation.
