I am looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a client of mine who specialise in developing electronics and embedded software for motor control of actuators for the Aerospace, Defence and Oil & Gas industries. This is fantastic opportunity to join client who is in the process of building a tech hub in Bristol working on new Greenfield projects. Key FreeRTOS (and/or SafeRTOS) Communication protocols: CAN, CANopen, Ethernet; ARINC 429 Essential Embedded C Motor control of 3 phase Brushless DC (BLDC) motors Control theory - Proportional, Proportional-Integral and Proportional-Integral-Derivative Communication protocol: RTS232 ARM micro-processors: e.g. TI TMS570, TMS32 Complex engineering development including: requirements, design for manufacture, verification & validation Formal documentation e.g. Software Requirements Specification; Software Interface Specification; Software Design Description; Software Integration, Verification & Validation Acceptance Plan Detailed design and modelling Testing & Integration Integration with hardware Standards: DO-178, IEC 61508, ISO 15765 Regulated engineering processes e.g. CMMI level 3-5 or equivalent Interfacing with external experts Estimation and forecasting Willingness to travel occasionally This is a great opportunity to work for a large international client who are building a second team in Bristol, my client will pay competitive salaries and have a great benefits package.
