Digital Project Manager - Operations / Data / IT / Technical

Our client is a global leader in Digital & Data Software & Services. Based out of the Exeter Area, we are looking to hire a Digital Project Manager to work with internal teams and report to the head of operations.

Overview

The Digital Project Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing a variety of projects, leading the scope, planning and overall management of delivery across our key business areas; engineering, data, digital comms, creative and cyber security.

You will be the first point of contact internally for the Business Development, Operations and Client Services team.

Core to your work will be the receipt and interpretation of briefs, some of which are complex in nature, applying strong judgement in drawing out clear and unambiguous requirements.

Role Outline:

  • To plan and coordinate client and internal projects within the organisation to ensure that effective solutions are delivered to specification, on time, on budget and to the required quality.
  • To help identify initial requirements with clients, scope and specify their project, cost on a commercial basis ensuring that margins are maintained, identify the resources required internally to deliver and manage project successfully.
  • To attend internal and external training sessions as and when appropriate to increase skill set. Plus be responsible for continually updating your product knowledge as well as sharing best practice skills with colleagues.

Candidate Requirements & Experience:

  • Previous experience of delivering digital projects for clients (not just internal) with a particular focus on web applications, data related services and digital marketing.
  • Experience of workflow and project management software e.g. Jira, Trac, Mantis, Trello, PODIO, MS Project.
  • An excellent understanding of: web/application development technologies and user experience,
  • An eye for and an appreciation of well-designed digital creative.
  • Excellent client and team project management skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in an agile or scrum environment.
  • Experience of working in an environment engaging with data strategies and targeting for direct marketing campaign activity
  • Experience of working in an environment where digital platforms and database solutions are frequently used by enablers to achieving business objectives.
