SEO Content Manager

Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

Our client, a leading UK, household name on-line retailer, are currently looking for an SEO Content Manager to drive and develop the Company's digital approach to content planning through expert keyword optimisation, content optimisation and high quality link building activity.

*Define and drive the strategy for SEO across the business
*Own both on-page SEO and off-page SEO.
*Liaise with internal teams to ensure strong and prompt delivery of SEO strategic plans
*Responsible for ensuring all website content and products are SEO optimised
*Sharing content to raise brand awareness and monitoring web traffic and metrics to identify best practices
*Develop the digital content strategy aligned with short and long term marketing & ecommerce targets
*Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase traffic
*Keep up to date with industry and algorithmic changes and proactively make recommendations for updates to be made to improve site performance and ranking
*Create a strategy to tackle seasonal shifts in search behaviour and ensure the Buyagift site is well prepared ahead of peak
*Work with the CRO team to create solutions for new site initiatives/developments that are SEO friendly as well as drive commercial performance
*Working with our PR Manager, develop and implement SEO campaigns in line with Buyagift's objectives
*Create original content to help improve conversion, optimisation and rankings
*Develop SEO link building strategies
*Provide clear and concise evaluation of all activity
*Work closely with the PPC Manager to provide search synergies across both channels to optimise spend
*Recruitment, management and development of an SEO Executive
*You'll have 7+ years' experience managing natural search optimisation (including ecommerce experience) as an SEO & Content Manager (agency or client side)
*Creative thinker with a track record in defining and delivering original content for ecommerce businesses
*Exceptional attention to detail
*Strong knowledge and understanding of social media, performance marketing, CRO and PR
*You are a decision maker who is not afraid to challenge others in order to champion SEO best practice
*You will be able to work collaboratively across departments to ensure the strategy is driven forward
*You'll have advanced knowledge of Excel and analytics tools including Google Analytics and SiteCatalyst
*Able to communicate in a clear and decisive manner
