Senior Configuration Analyst - Halifax

Location - Halifax, West Yorkshire
Salary - up to £45,000 p/a plus benefits

Harvey Nash is working in partnership with a UK leading organisation and they are seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to be responsible for creating new and existing software solutions according to standards and ensuring the code review process is effective and improved upon when required.

The Role:

  • Create new and existing software solutions according to target architecture and company standards and policies
  • Work with colleagues to resolve incidents experienced by our customers
  • Ensure knowledge of your work is shard through reviews, documentation and handovers so that others around you can maintain your work in the future
  • Mentor and coach analysts of all levels, supporting their technical professional development through knowledge sharing and up-skilling
  • Acting as domain authority for agreed component technologies, providing support to project management and architecture on the future technical direction of these components and plans for delivery (correspondence management, ratings, CMS, CRM etc)
  • Identifying and addressing non-functional requirements to ensure we apply a rigorous approach to security, performance and reliability when developing solutions
  • Ensuring that our Code Review process is effective and that Analyst Standards are being applied effectively by the team

The Person/Experience required:

  • An IT professional with a proven track record of working as a Configuration Analyst
  • Experience of building secure digital solutions that integrate with SSO and RESTful services
  • Unit testing, TDD
  • Version control, branching, merging, feature toggling (TFS and Git)
  • Build and deployment automation toolsets (for example TeamCity and Octopus)
  • Working with matters of a confidential or sensitive nature (ISO27001, PCI, DPA, GDPR)
  • Being a motivated team player that works effectively within an Agile environment.
  • Collaborating effectively with Service and Operations to transition services effectively into Live

Technical Skills:

  • Working with XML, SOAP, JSON, RAML webservices
  • ESB, WCF and ETL experience (Webmethods or Mulesoft a particular advantage)
  • SQL Server, SQL / T-SQL
  • Experience working with SOLID, DRY principles
  • Experience working successfully with Configuration technology stacks
