Accounts Administrator

Location: Cheltenham

Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 depending on experience + benefits

They have a great opportunity for an Accounts / Finance Administrator to join the business as an Operational Finance Analyst in their Cheltenham office.

The role will report into the Operational Finance and Governance Manager and will involve working with multiple different business areas within the Cheltenham office and being responsible for a variety of Finance and Reconciliation tasks as part of our wider Operations team.

Duties include:

  • Production and Distribution of internal and external statements
  • Resolution of unallocated cash and aged debt
  • Collate and Maintain monthly premium bordereaux's
  • Point of contact for Internal and External Customers
  • Provide accurate reporting for Senior Leadership Team
  • Reconciliation of complex banking queries
  • Be responsible for payments to external suppliers within credit terms.

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Experience within a similar Finance / Accounts / Credit Control role
  • A natural aptitude for numbers, managing large sets of data and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • The desire to learn and develop others and self
  • A confident and professional team player
  • Strong organisational & time management skills
  • Ability to recognise potential risks to the business and confidence to escalate upwards when required
  • Self-motivated with desire to exceed targets set
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

Desirable

  • Experience in the Insurance/Financial Services industry
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements specific to a Financial Services environment.
  • Accounts/Finance/Credit Control experience
  • Previous experience in a high volume transactional environment
  • Management of 3rd party/outsourced relationships


Our working hours are business hours between 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday
