This ICA Engineering job will involve you maintaining a large water treatment works that provides water services to millions of people.
Who are they?
The company are a leading utility company providing sanitation and drinking water to London and the South East. They have a close team of engineers who are responsible for maintaining sites throughout the area. The company are known for developing their staff and promoting from within and offer market leading opportunities for development.
The role involves:
-To carry out planned and preventative breakdown maintenance
-Inspect, maintain, test or repair SCADA & PLC equipment
-Liaising and supervising of contractors and suppliers where necessary.
-Providing specialist technical advice where appropriate with up to date technical knowledge, and to provide training support for technical trainees.
-To be responsible for the timely ordering of spares required.
-Take responsibility for own health and safety and that of colleagues.
-Participate in a 24/7 out of hours standby rota if required which you will be paid for
Skills & Qualifications:
-An approved apprenticeship (desirable) and ideally be qualified to C&G Part 2 or HNC level, in an electrical discipline and with a good practical understanding of operational plant and systems or relevant experience in the running and maintenance of large diesel / duel fuel engines.
-Ability to work with minimum supervision, under own initiative to design and standards.
-Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety issues relevant to the industry.
-Experience with PLC & SCADA systems, ideally Allen Bradley, Wonderware and ClearSCADA
-Valid Driving licence

You need to show that you come from an industrial maintenance background, ideally the water or wastewater sector, and have qualifications in Electrical / Electronics engineering. You will be a team player who is happy to do whatever needs to be done to ensure the smooth running of the plant.
