We are looking for a Principal Statistical Programmer to join one of the global top 10 CRO. If you have strong SAS programming skills and can demonstrate experience of working in clinical research within the Pharmaceutical industry, then you could be the Principal Statistical Programmer that we have been looking for.

What will you be doing?

As the Principal Statistical Programmer, you will act as the subject-matter expert, providing technical support and expert advice to internal and external sponsors.

You will also be the lead on multiple studies covering a range of sizes and complexities. You will provide working direction to the Statistical Programming department and responsible for its deliverables. You will oversee all programming aspects of clinical trials as well as mentoring and hiring team members to perform the programming and validation of deliverables.

Additionally, the Principal Statistical Programmer will also provide leadership, project specific training, stakeholder management, external sponsor support, resource management, as well as project management for the required programming tasks supporting clinical trial activities.

Using SAS software (BASE, STAT, GRAPH, MACRO), you will produce, validate and review statistical analysis plans, mainly through tables, formatted datasets, listing and graph specifications. Further to this, you will perform QC and quality improvement to ensure that outputs meet quality standards and project requirements.

What skills/experience should you have?

  • BA or BSc degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of SAS programming experience, including 4 years of working with clinical trials either in a CRO, Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology organisation, or related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of SAS Programming and package
  • Proven leading experience as lead on multiple projects as well as Programming teams
  • methodologies/ ICH-GCP
  • Proven track record of mentoring personnel and coordinating the work of project teams
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
