Service Desk Technician

9 month fixed term

A well known Engineering logistics provider for global contracts across the UK are looking for a number of Service Desk Technicians to provide 1st line customer support showcasing technical expertise.

Your responsibilities will include resolving queries on electronic equipment providing a first call resolution within set SLA's and advising staff on how to clear errors and remotely reboot devices effectively. Service Desk Technician's will also be required to log calls for engineer visits and ensure that jobs are actioned and resolved by Field teams.

We are seeking someone with proven experience in a role supporting customers with technical issues, ideally within an IT or technical helpdesk environment. Experience of investigating and resolving queries within SLA's and KPI's is essential, ideally within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are key, with the ability to build upon and maintain customer relationships through rapport.

You will be able to showcase:

+ Experience working in a Service centre tproviding technology support

+ Passionate about customer services, with the ability to understand the importance of meeting targets and understand the importance of maintaining good customer relations

+ Able to communicate effectively via printed material, on the telephone, and over electronic services

+ Broad experience of communicating with customers in varying support situations
