I am now recruiting for a market leader within the Semiconductor industry, whom design and supply analogue and mixed-signal CMOS ICs for communications and networking applications.
To support their ambitious growth plans, my client is now seeking to take on experienced Applications Engineers in the Southampton area.
Working from the Southampton facility, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting mixed signal CMOS ICs utilizing wireless and wired protocols. This will require a board, or module, level understanding of such ICs.
You would also be expected to create reference designs for customer sampling, to better demonstrate the effectiveness of my client’s products. This will also include creation and maintenance of application notes and datasheet documents, to provide product support and customer aid.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Applications Engineer to further their career in the Semiconductor industry, with a rapidly growing business. It could also be ideal for an Electronic Design engineer with a strong desire to move into a customer facing position.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience within the Semiconductor industry is essential; ideal candidates will also come from an Optics or Telecoms background.
Experience with FPGA and ASIC verification would be desirable, as would VHDL, Verilog, C or Perl programming.
Experience with I2C/SPI and other high speed digital interfaces would be advantageous.
It would also be beneficial to possess exposure to signal integrity simulation and analysis; use of tools such as HFSS/ADS/CST would be preferable.
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK.
