My client is looking for 1st/2nd line support engineers to join an expanding, existing team based in Leicester & Derby.

£22,000

Immediate Start

Leicester/Derby

Responsibilities following induction and product training:

1st and 2nd line Incident resolution providing detailed Incident information for escalated issues

Carrying out onsite visits for clients to repair and diagnose any issues that may occur

Providing technical support via telephone, email, remote control sessions and onsite

To service, repair and maintain IT Equipment

Install and configure complex IT systems, including servers, enterprise systems, Domains and other cloud based products.

Install and training of VOIP and PBX Phone Systems

Configure and installation of nursecall and wardencall systems, along with CCTV solutions and intruder alarms.

Gain exposure to the latest skills, tools and technologies

Proactive technical services and support of core business systems and applications and at the network level: including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security. Windows Server, Exchange, SQL Server, Small Business Server, etc. networks, voice, and connectivity to the Internet.

Timely turnaround of customer requests and faults within agreed service levels.

Ensuring onsite work is planned in advance and formal sign off is obtained once the work is complete

An ideal candidate will hold some of the following skills and experiences:

A full UK driving license - Essential.

Significant previous hands-on commercial experience with IT equipment installation, configuration and support.

Excellent desktop and server knowledge on all versions.

General networking knowledge e.g. switches, firewalls, routers

Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems

Knowledge of Hosted phone systems and on site PBX

Customer focus and experience on dealing with the end user.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Service awareness of all organizations' key IT services for which support is being provided.

Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.

Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
