My Fife based client are currently looking to add a new Service Desk Engineer to their growing team, with focus on Microsoft Technologies, Networking and Application Support. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for you to grow within the business and take on a more field based role in future.
What will the role involve?
Initially supporting customers remotely, you will offer a first class service in dealing with support tickets ranging from basic hardware to support to more complex networking issues. In time, you will be introduced to clients and will take on more field based responsibilities which are only limited by your commitment to the role. This position represents a great opportunity to grow within a company who support professional development and reward performance.
What experience do I need?
You will ideally have 3-5 years experience of working in a similar role and have a strong desire to develop your skill set. Soft skills are important as this is a customer facing role where you will be representing the company on a daily basis. Technical experience includes:
- Active Directory
- Server and Network maintenance (upto 2012)
- Application Support
- Hardware configuration and support
Beneficial knowledge includes:
- Office 365
- Virtualization knowledge
