QC Inspector/CMM Programmer
Aqua-Tech are currently working with an industry leading machine shop who have state of the art facilities situated in the Chesterfield area. Due to a strong order book they require an experienced QC Inspector with the ability to programme CMM machines to join their team.
Perform first off, in process and final inspection on manufactured parts using CMM, Faro Arm and hand-held measuring equipment – Vernier’s, micrometers, depth gauges etc
Programming CMM machines
Inspect finished goods, ensuring they meet the requirements needed and deal with any non-conformance or concession.
Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR’s)
Liaise with supervision and operators to resolve customer issues, promoting customer confidence and satisfaction.
Support business processes and personnel in continuous improvement activities in addition to providing information concerning product and process quality performance.
Assist with gauge control / calibration activities.
This role requires job specific proficiency and good working knowledge of standard practices, procedures and protocols.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Strong machining knowledge.
Strong proven problem solving skills within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Able to read, understand and interpret engineering information.
Effective communicator at all levels both verbally and written.
CMM programming experience, preferably with Modus, Mitutoyo or Camio
Solidworks experience advantageous.
Hours and Benefits
4 day week, 4x10hr shifts
2 weeks days and 2 weeks nights shift system
Shift Allowance £4ph uplift on nights.
Overtime, £6ph uplift for OT1 and £12ph for OT2 on Sundays
Sick pay, pension and 30 days holidays inc bank hols
