Position: Senior Communications Officer
Location: Croydon, London
Job Type: Full Time, 12 months maternity cover contract
Hours: 36 per week
Salary: £37,841

About the role:

The Senior Communications Officer will lead corporate communications for HM Land Registry's digital programme telling the story of our ground breaking research and development project Digital Street, and products like digital mortgage, find property information and others. This will be to a mix of external and internal audiences and you will work closely with the director of Digital, Data and Technology, senior leaders and product managers as they develop quicker and simpler digital services that will help people buy, rent, sell, finance, build and manage property with ease.

Your work will include press calls, OASIS plans, briefing notes, speech writing, and working with policy, legal, and finance colleagues. You will be joining a high-performing and fast-paced communications team supporting digital services and transformation.

About you:

To be successful in this position we are looking for an expert communications professional with a proven track record of planning and managing communications campaigns. You will have a good understanding of current communication technologies, channels and trends including digital, and be proficient in communication and marketing tools and techniques.

You will have experience of planning, managing and delivering campaigns to tight and moving deadlines along with the experience of building relationships and working with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, and able to challenge, negotiate and influence decisions. You will also have excellent editing, copywriting and proof reading skills with high attention to detail and ability to write in a variety of styles.

A relevant CIM, CAM or CIPR qualification would be highly desirable and the flexibility to travel is essential as some overnight stays will be required in this role.
