The company
Spring Technology are seeking a Risk Reporting Analyst to work for one of our Financial Services clients. As a Risk Tools, System and Reporting Specialist you will be responsible for managing and reporting on the company's risk data helping the organisation to manage its risks effectively.

The Role
The role holder will support the Risk Framework and Reporting Manager and the Head of Risk in maintaining risk data quality and developing and maintaining relevant, timely, and reliable risk reporting and management information for the Board, Risk Committee, Executive Team and wider management, in accordance with the company's Risk Management Framework.
This is done by managing, maintaining and improving the tools and systems used by the company to manage its risk-related data, ensuring the data is secure and accurate and value-adding information can be provided to stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will drive the embedding of a proactive risk and control culture by:

Risk tools and reporting
*Managing the central repository of risk data held by the second-line Risk Team to ensure it is secure, accurate and complete, including administering company's central 'Risk Universe' of relevant risks and associated mitigating controls.
*Producing accurate risk related management information and supporting papers that enhances decision making across the organisation. To include both regular and ad-hoc reports, including the quarterly Risk Profile report to the Risk Committee.
*Managing risk tools and systems, ensuring the systems remain secure and effective.
*Driving the continuous improvement of risk tools, systems, processes, reports and data through on-going review and active engagement with information providers to enable effective, risk-based decision making.
*Supporting the project to develop and implement a new Governance, Risk and Compliance system.
*Once implemented, taking responsibility for maintaining the GRC system and its data, for liaising with the IT Team as required and for supporting users across the organisation.
*Creating a business data library to better enable the Risk Team to monitor performance that could indicate changes in risk profile and control environment and to help prioritise assurance activities.
*Driving efficiencies and improvements in reporting processes to increase efficiency in report production and accuracy of report content.
*Maintaining risk tools, procedures and guidance.

Stakeholder engagement
*Liaising with colleagues across the organisation - including managers and Risk Champions - to ensure that high-quality risk related data is submitted in accordance with set timetables.
*Supporting second-line testing of controls operated by first-line teams in accordance with Control Self Assessment procedures, and completing quality reviews of testing completed by the first-line. Liaise with first-line colleagues to provide feedback and constructive challenge and to track actions.
*Facilitating stakeholder meetings and tracking actions.
*Providing business functions with guidance, training and subject matter expertise on risk management methodologies and tools.

REQUIREMENTS
*Evidence of appropriate experience and knowledge in the field of risk management.
*Sound understanding of the UK financial services sector
*Advanced MS Excel, databases and data tools knowledge, including programming.
*Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse, interpret and communicate data.
*Experience of producing reports and in analysing data.
*Experience of completing controls testing.
*Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal communication skills.
*Experience of managing and participating in change projects.
