Strategic Research & Analytics Manager

Siemens Financial Services have an exciting new opportunity for a Strategic Research & Analytics Manager to join our office in Stoke Poges. You will be responsible for macroeconomic, country, industry and market related research and providing strategic data analysis to enable effective decision making and valuable strategic insights internally and externally.

You will use your research and analytics skills to support origination, execution and monitoring of business strategy, including identification of new techniques, tools and approaches to develop and address any strategic and operational issues faced by the business. You will also support the strategic planning and monitoring process (including proactive market, channel & customer analysis and opportunity screening) and have responsibility for analysing and bringing strategic insights to the data.

Areas of responsibility:

- Develop tools, techniques and approaches to perform, ongoing and ad hoc strategic research and data analysis within existing organisation systems (eg SAP, AWARD) and / or with dedicated software solutions to support business strategy
- Collaborate with other functions, country experts and users to identify new value opportunities from data-driven insights for the future of the financial services business - leveraging both internal and external data sources
- Collaborate with our Data team to continue the origination and implementation of data analytics into our strategic decision making and use of applications and products
- Establish frameworks & analytics platforms for the ongoing monitoring of performance against strategy, leveraging internal and external data - with a particular focus on market, channel and customer performance monitoring
- Manage and/or contribute to projects and initiatives to support strategic objectives

What do I need to qualify for this role?

- Macro economic and Market research and analysis experience is essential.
- Knowledge of strategic planning tools, concepts and performance metrics in finance and or market research industry is needed.
- Experience with managing data projects/analytics
- Effective communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience within financial services arena
- Experience working with SAP modules (PP, SD, MM, PS, FI or CO) and/or statistical data analytics (eg R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) or data mining technologies
- Strong academics (Degree in Business or related field would be advantageous)
- Experience of working across country borders/internationally an advantage
