Area Sales Engineer Responsibilities
As area sales engineer you will be responsible for managing and developing all existing accounts across the area. The route to market consists of mainly end users across a variety of industries from food, power, water to universities and hospitals. Other routes to market include dealing with contractors and consultants as well as supporting and developing distribution partners. You will be tasked with handling all enquiries and projects across the region with an emphasis on quality client visits to provide solutions for the given application of the products. The role will be home based however there is a great deal of interaction with the southern regional sales team and ongoing training at regional offices.
The successful area sales engineer must have a mechanical qualification minimum ONC ideally HNC or higher and have experience customer facing and solving problems for customers. Typical related products include valves, actuators, compressors, pumps, heat transfer, flowcontrol, instrumentation or air conditioning. You may have experience as a technical sales engineer, key account manager, business development manager, application engineer or related background.
The region is quite compact and although it stretches slightly further than this, the successful candidate must be based across the following areas; High Wycombe, Slough, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Hatfield, Cheshunt and Enfield.
There are great long terms prospects with this rapidly growing manufacturer vertically into management or horizontally into other areas of the business.
