We are currently recruiting heavily for our infrastructure division and so we are seeking x12 Cloud Engagement Project Managers (focusing on AWS OR Azure Cloud Technologies) to join our team.

The focus of the role

The Infrastructure Services business unit combines Capgemini's consulting, infrastructure build and run capabilities and the provision of cloud-based services in an integrated global sales and delivery model. With a turnover of EUR 1.3 billion, the group provides infrastructure outsourcing services, including service management, service integration, date centre, cloud computing, workplace, service desk and network support. The group also provides infrastructure transformation services, helping clients to virtualise and optimise their estates, leveraging our outsourcing, integration, brokerage and 'As a Service' offerings.

The opportunity will have a strong focus on End User: The vision of End User Services Practice is to build a user-centric, connected workplace that transforms today's IT into an outstanding business experience for our customers.

What you'll do

- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
- Ensure that project meets its deliverables in agreed schedule, as per the scope, within stipulated budget and as per the quality standards
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
- Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
- Ensures project or service scope and deliverables are defined and agreed with all relevant parties
- Ensures all project commitments are met, and monitors and reports on progress to Transition / Project Manager, sponsor, and customer, as well as the PMO in accordance with the reporting standards, ensuring the project remains within scope
- Diagnoses and evaluates potential risks and issues throughout the project. Reports regularly to the PMO and Transition / Project Manager with regard to risks, and executes appropriate plans to contain them
- Acts as escalation point for problems and complaints, and manages compliance, contingency, and risk situations within own area of control
- Monitor and manage resources (staff, suppliers, and hardware & software) in a cost effective manner, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and action cost reduction initiatives
- Contributing to the development of methods and expansion of the knowledge base within the Practice

What you'll bring

- Strong Leadership skills; planning and organisational skills
- Experience of project and programme planning, project forecasting and financial management
- Excellent analytical & technical skills
- Good interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
- Must be able to demonstrate a level maturity while under constant pressure from the business and technology community
- Knowledge and experience of project delivery methodologies
- Communications skills and ability to communicate and influence at all levels
- Flexible about work content and able to work independently with clients and colleagues
- Experience of Transition planning and delivery.
- Experience of tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and Team forge
- Crucially important is experience in Transition work, service desk and distributed desk side being our key areas.
- This is a client facing role which requires good presentation, communication and organization skills
- There will be a requirement to attain Capgemini's Engagement Management Certification within employment
- Support on Learning and Development to develop will be provided in line with the Capgemini curriculum for our Engagement Management community and Infrastructure Services
- Successful candidates will be asked to gain a level of security clearance either prior to or upon commencement of employment in support of their allocation to accounts requiring an element of security clearance
- Successful applicants will require flexibility in their work location; the ability to work at client and Capgemini sites across the UK and occasionally abroad for the duration of assignments
