A Financial Analyst is required to work for an FM and property management company who work across 54 countries globally.

Purpose Of The Job

Providing Financial leadership, management, and development of the Contract, ensuring commitments are met and exceeded. Ensure that robust financial management of the GMP Contract is delivered by working collaboratively with the Contract Managers and Contract Support. A contract level GMP strategy should be implemented and adhered to, in order to ensure profitability against the model.

The Client

The successful candidate would be accountable for the Financial hard and soft services delivery of the GMP Contract. The client currently provide Full Hard & Soft FM Services to Clinics, Dentals and Core Office sites with multiple locations nationally throughout the UK.

The Candidate

The Candidate must have a proven track record of managing a £4M P&L consisting of maintenance and project work. The candidate must have experience of delivering a project business in excess of £3M per annum. The candidate must have a detailed knowledge of the operation of a GMP contract and be able to demonstrate ways in which a GMP contract should be operated to maximise margin. The candidate must have strong people skills and be able to develop a strong succession plan along with being able to earn the trust and respect of their client.

Key Responsibilities

1 Provide leadership, and that contractual commitments are met and exceeded.

2 Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of the contract are exploited, to deliver increased turnover and profitability, ensure additional services and projects are added, and that all KPI’s are achieved in order for Bupa to outsource their whole estate to the client.

3 Ensuring business policies and processes are effectively communicated, and implemented within the contract.

4 Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across contracts, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service excellence. Ensure structures support peaks and troughs in workload, and disaster recovery.

5 Working with other Operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective team working, and support to colleagues.

6 Development of contract financial plans for revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP, debt, cost reduction and contract growth, and ensure that these are met and exceeded.

7 Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.

8 Promoting and maintaining the core Values of the client.

9 Provision of leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support, where required to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment and recognition/reward.

10 Delivering effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate.

11 Supporting the sales process through solutions development, participation in presentations and consultation meetings, hosting visits, and support to mobilisation as required on new contracts.

12 Provide a learning environment, and appropriate training and development planning. Ensure basic training needs are delivered, employees are fully competent to undertake their roles, and are able to reach their full future potential.

13 Develop local procurement activities to maximise margin

E Relevant experience in a similar role
E Experience in accountancy
D Experience in the managing of GMP contracts
D Procurement and partnering experience
E Proficient in using IT packages/systems (Excel, Word and Project)


E Financial Accounting qualifications or part qualified


1 Reporting to the Account Director

2 Accountability to the functional heads, as appropriate.

3 Accountable day-to-day to the relevant client contacts.

4 Financial responsibility for the delivery of Plan commitments for the contract.
