BI Developer (Data Integration) - Edinburgh or Glasgow
BI (SQL) Developer required to join a professional body in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. With offices in both locations, you will be focusing on SQL Data Integration and will be a full hands-on Developer. You will gain exposure to multiple new technologies and will work across the full Business Intelligence stack. The company use mainly Microsoft products and you should be strong across tools such as SSIS and T-SQL. They are also using PowerBI at the moment, so you will have the chance to gain exposure to one of the most talked about tools on the BI market. The company are in the process of undertaking a large data virtualisation project and this is proving very interesting to gain exposure to. You will initially be working on an 18 month project where you will be improving the access users have to the company's data and will additionally gain exposure to Denodo. This is a hand-on and technical role, and you should have exposure to SQL ETL products. You will be undertaking the development of the BI systems as well as unit testing. If you have worked across the full Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS) this would be very advantage as the team also do this. The team is currently at around 10, and they are looking to add two new people to the team due to the size and bulk of project work going on. It is an interesting time to join with the opportunity to learn and be exposed to tools such as PowerBI and data virtualisation tools such as Denodo. Key Skills and Experience: ** SQL BI experience (ETL Development) ** SSIS, SSRS, SSAS (Integration services, Reporting services, Analysis services) ** T-SQL and database query tuning and optimisation experience ** Exposure to PowerBI or data virtualisation tools such as Denodo (bonus) This is an opportunity to work in a growing team, across a very interesting project with the chance to learn and use the latest BI tools.
