Summary:We’re seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our internal IT Infrastructure team. Applying Agile principles, they will work on a wide range of projects and will be responsible for the implementation of new services and technologies within the business, alongside monitoring and maintaining the health of existing applications, systems and services. This is a new addition to our internal team and a fantastic opportunity for the right person to develop and build expertise across a broad set of technologies in a fast-paced customer-driven business.
We are looking for someone with effective communication, time management and problem-solving skills, who thrives on helping others and enjoys doing a job well. Successful candidates will have a background in setting up and managing core Microsoft cloud technologies, and will be able to demonstrate experience of modern application hosting and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:• Implement cost-effective solutions to meet business needs across a wide range of technologies. Follow a transparent project life-cycle approach (solution design, procurement, implementation, testing and documentation) married with Agile principles to deliver value frequently.• Provide 3rd line support and maintenance for in-house IT infrastructure and services – monitor and proactively maintain critical systems with respect to performance, capacity and reliability targets. Participate in scheduled out-of-hours emergency cover and planned out-of-hours maintenance.• Provide technical representation and decision support in business-led projects; identify opportunities to make technology-driven operational and process improvements.• Build and maintain 3rd party supplier relations to ensure cost-effective and timely provision of equipment and services as required.• Provide technical oversight, guidance and resolve escalated issues with the IT Support team.• Ensure all systems are implemented in line with security best practice – promote knowledge of security issues and good habits within the team and the wider business.• Manage critical service outages, including communication with the business, 3rd parties and associated reporting.Experience and Skills:Essential• Strong experience of providing delivering business-driven projects in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.• Proven track record with Microsoft’s Azure cloud service platforms and services, with focus on PaaS and IaaS provisioning.• Experience of core Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, SQL Server and Hyper-V• Proficient with Windows administration tools and techniques, including automation and scripting with PowerShell• Good knowledge of IPv4 networking concepts and administration, including routing, NAT, firewall configuration, and common application layer protocols (DHCP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, HTTP etc.)• High standard of written and verbal communication – clear, concise and accurate, able to present to technical and non-technical audiences from director to operative.
DesirableCandidates who can demonstrate knowledge of any of the following are at an advantage:• PCI DSS compliance, network and application security• DevOps principles and common tools• ALM in an Agile environment, including Continuous Delivery• ITIL Service Operations experience
A full, clean, driving licence is also desirable.
