A well-established design and manufacturer of bespoke pressings, welding's and assemblies who have been established for over 65 years are currently looking to recruit a Toolmaker to join their in house workshop. Suitable for: Tool Maker, Tooling Engineer, Workshop Engineer The Role As a Tool Maker you will be responsible for making, servicing and maintaining press tools for the production facilities Responsibilities will include: . Tool splitting . Disassembly and reassembly of tools . Replacing component parts, dies, punches and springs . Tool regrinding . Problem solving and tool improvement . Must be able to work on own initiative . Proven efficiency with working practices . Be able to communicate effectively to own team and other departments . Be organised and have the ability to prioritise and multi-task . Attention to detail . Equipment used: overhead crane, forklift truck (a licence would be beneficial but not essential), grinders, milling machines, pillar drill, lathe and general engineering equipment . Ensure that all tooling records are updated and complete . Comply with health and safety regulations at all times . Do not place yourself of any employee in danger by your actions . Notify your Manager of any dangerous hazards or risks you become aware of . Wear the PPE recommended for your job . Observe and comply with all sign, notices and communications directed at maintaining a safe working environment . Observe good housekeeping, it is your responsibility to keep the area clean and tidy . Segregate rubbish in the correct containers . Keep your tools clean and tidy and return them to their correct place after use . Ensure that good quality product is produced to a high standard . All parts produced are correct to drawing The Person The successful candidate for the Tool Makers position will have the following experience: . Apprentice trained - Desirable . 3 - 5 years' experience working within a Press tool environment - Essential . Experience working to automotive quality standards - Essential Manufacturing Workforce are responsible for placing skilled and in demand people on both a permanent and contract basis into the Engineering, Technical and Manufacturing sectors, from skilled Shop Floor Personnel and Specialist Engineers to Supervisory and Management positions.
