You will join us on a full time, permanent contract and will receive a highly competitive salary of £26,468 - £29,691 per annum plus excellent benefits! We are looking for a talented Business Development Consultant with a passion for education and training who relishes working to targets and deadlines. The successful candidate must be dynamic, professional and have up to date knowledge as well as experience in engaging customers at all levels within local and national companies. Equally happy to identify opportunities by cold calling, through networking events and meetings, or as the result of targeted marketing, you will be able to use a range of strategies to develop and communicate proposals that meet the needs of the customer, the learner and the college. As our Business Development Consultant, you will identify new business and develop working relationships with a diverse range of organisations. Visit potential key clients, identify possible training needs, provide quotations, negotiate and close sales. Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Key responsibilities of the Business Development Consultant - Generate new income and maximise business with existing clients - Client Retention - Business Development Planning - Budgeting and managing finance, including maximising funding opportunities - Management and Research Experience and skills required of our Business Development Consultant - Level 3 Sales, Marketing or Business Qualification or other relevant qualification - Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Maths and English grade (or literacy and Numeracy) - Minimum of Level 2 ICT qualification. If not held, successful candidates will be required to undertake a relevant Microsoft qualification within first 12 months of employment. If the qualification held is more than 10 years old, we will require you to undertake a relevant refresher qualification. - Knowledge / Previous Experience / Skills - Extensive Practical Project Management skills and experience - Experience of promoting and selling educational products - Experience of working to and fulfilling agreed targets - Proven track record in sourcing prospects, targets and sales. - Ability to communicate at all levels using most appropriate media - An effective decision maker - A commitment to the provision of a quality customer focused service - An up to day working knowledge of Microsoft Office On appointment, you will be placed at the salary point aligned to a number of factors which include, but are not limited to, qualifications, previous relevant experience, current salary and market forces. On target earnings of up to £3,200 are possible. In addition, there is an OTE payment in recognition of secured contracts with a company (not an individual learner) of up to 1.5% of the value of the sale.
