Position: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Lancashire
Salary: Up to £35k

The Role:
• Responsible for maintaining, repairing and upgrading machines and providing support when it comes to usage of machines and associated components. The key duties that make up the job description revolve around the installation of electrical components, machines and gadgets as well as troubleshooting and repairs whenever there is a breakdown.
• To schedule and undertake periodic maintenance on all electrical equipment, components, and installations.
• Provide prompt response to inquiries whenever there is a breakdown and resolve the issue in a timely and correct manner.
• Ensure that equipment is in a good working order so as to prevent disruption of activities.
• Installation of new electrical equipment and fittings.
• Recommend replacement for old and faulty electrical components or fittings.
• Continuous process improvement.
• Keeping records of all stocks and supplies of all maintenance and spares equipment.
• Provide a safe working environment for members of staff and ensure electrically induced accidents are prevented.
• Locate and purchase fittings and components whenever required.
• Learn new skills and attend training programs as necessary in other areas to increase knowledge and best working practices.
• Provide 24 hr a day maintenance services or supervise the staff charged with the responsibility.

• Education in a relevant electrical engineering subject or equivalent qualification (Apprentice Trained or equivalent with NVQ Level 3 – City & Guilds ONC/OND/HND/BTEC Electrical equivalent minimum).
• Familiarity with IEE wiring regulations BS7671 17th edition.

• Ability to analyse situations, anticipate problems and quickly find solutions.
• Someone who can generate innovative ideas and techniques.
• Someone who can single handily efficiently perform electrical installation projects.
• Someone who can quickly adapt to changes and take onboard new skills and techniques.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

• Extensive personal experience in the electrical industry
