Due to Growth and new business opportunities we are looking for a Talented Applications Engineer with relevant experience in Industrial Controls Systems Integration to join us at AND Automation.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the day to day management of a Technical Project throughout its complete life cycle. They will be educated to HND / Engineering Degree level or equivalent combined with experience in the Controls and Automation sector. they will have a background that reflects previous experience of having worked successfully in the role of an Applications Engineer with overall responsibility for projects, undertaking a broad range of duties, Including:

• Preparation of detailed technical customer quotations for bespoke Control Systems including SCADA / PLC’s / Drive Systems / Control Panels
• Tender submissions up to £250k with the opportunity to support larger projects up to £1 million
• Liaising with customers from pre order through to contract completion
• Preparation and presentation for contract handover meetings
• Attend meetings to discuss and agree project activity schedules and individual project requirements
• Read through and clarify customer specifications / User Requirement Specifications
• Negotiation of prices

The ideal Applications Engineer will possess and be able to demonstrate:

• Strong communication skills with enthusiasm to undertake ongoing training and development
• Excellent time management skills, and the ability operate in a structured and methodical manner
• Adopt a right first time approach to all aspects of work.
• A highly self-motivated, enthusiastic approach with good team working skills.
• Willingness to undertake further professional qualifications.( Such as Accreditation with the IET)
• Good aptitude to learn from and influence others with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential.
• When travelling on company business abide by all rules and laws.
• Willing to seek appropriate assistance when required.
