Job Description: This is an exciting role that would ideally suit an entrepreneurial and dynamic person that has experience in training and development. The ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge of the parking industry although applicants with experience of teaching to NVQ level 2 will be considered. The nature of the training role is industry specific. It is a prerequisite that the candidate is able to work on their own initiative and with limited supervision. Work is generally based at our head office in Macclesfield but will involve frequent travel throughout the UK , occasionally with overnight stay. Key Accountability: Design and expand training and development courses on the needs of the organisation. Consider the costs of planned courses and keep within budgets and accessing the return on investment. Develop effective induction programes Devise individual learning plans Produce training material for in house courses Devise training strategies from implementation to deliverance Personal commitment to improve on knowledge and skills Starting salary 30k but will be reviewed after 6 months About the International Parking Community (IPC) The International Parking Community (IPC) Accredited Trade Association for the parking industry is a digital-first, forward thinking trade association. Focused on supporting its members to constantly improve parking industry standards whilst providing advice for Government and Consumer groups, the IPC has experienced significant growth and now represents the interests of +100 private parking operators with the industry containing c. 200. The IPC is the only ATA to provide its members with an online audit service making sure that all signage and paperwork is clear and legally correct and approved before an operator is allowed to issue Parking Charge Notices. The IPC also provides an Independent Appeals Service (IAS) accredited by the Certified Trading Standards Institute under The Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015 and is the only appeals service to use qualified and practicing lawyers for adjudications across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Recent digital enhancements to the IPC service have seen the launch of an online portal for MP’s to manage constituent parking related issues and a partnership with the Peoples Parking accreditation scheme, the forward-thinking scheme that helps consumers identify car parks which have the facilities they need i.e. accessible for disabled motorists, charge points for electric vehicles and much more.
