Senior Rail Systems Engineer - Top Tier Engineering Consultancy Excellent opportunity to work on HS2 and other major rail projects as a Consultant in systems engineering. Location: Solihull, West Midlands Contract 6 months. Renewable after depending on project requirements. Rate negotiable depending on experience. Role: As Senior Systems Engineer you will train and support designers from other disciplines to successfully apply systems engineering techniques to rail projects and provide specialist rail systems leadership and expertise to projects. As Senior Systems Engineer you will: Lead in the production of design documentation in Technical Assurance Support system engineering activities for the delivery of the Technical assurance products on the project Lead the planning and coaching teams of project teams to understand the need for and and deliver the evidence for requirement management, verification and validation, and assurance evidence Lead the production of Technical Assurance plans and their typical processes: requirements management, systems acceptance, interface management, systems integration, assurance and RAMS Actively guide and support teams in their adherence to those Technical Assurance processes Assist in the development of Technical Assurance models Work under mentorship and supervision of more senior staff Role requirements: Ideally, an active member of INCOSE and/or the IET and working towards CEng registration Able to explain systems engineering techniques to engineers and managers, covering requirements management, assurance and interface management Experience in design on rail projects following Network Rail's GRIP, London Underground's PMF or similar life-cycle development model Able to write clear reports and plans in plain English Familiar with engineering safety management practice according to the Common Safety Method, Yellow Book or equivalent Rewards and Benefits Work for a leading Consultancy with a range of small and major projects across the UK and internationally.
