Lead Project Accountantthat has the ability to present financial information clearly and works to a high level of accuracy is required for a highly successful and innovative Housing Organisation based in Poole, Dorset, South West England. SALARY:£30,153 - £34,538 pro rata BENEFITS: Local Government Pension Scheme, Free Parking and Flexi-time. JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Lead Project Accountant that has the ability to present financial information clearly and works to a high level of accuracy. Working as the Lead Project Accountant you will manage a wide range of projects; including major capital projects and projects to improve the integrity of financial and performance reporting across the organisation. As the Lead Project Accountant,you will undertake performance monitoring and develop tools to improve the quality and integrity of financial and performance reporting across the organisation, assist in the development, monitoring and reporting of Company and Housing Revenue Accounts, and support the Finance Team to ensure the delivery of a customer-focused, quality finance service. DUTIES Your duties and responsibilities as the Lead Project Accountant include: Provide assistance and support to the Strategic Director Provide financial advice and support to a range of projects and effectively communicate progress of projects to the Strategic Director Undertake performance monitoring duties as required and develop financial tools that support the delivery of strong performance management across the organisation Progress opportunities to improve the quality and integrity of financial and performance reporting across the organisation, working closely with affected areas of the business Support the Finance Team to ensure that a customer focused high quality service is delivered and maintained Assist in the development, monitoring and reporting of the organisations management and company’s accounts IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Previous experience in an accountancy role Hold an AAT qualification or higher or equivalent Ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines Ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to non-finance colleagues Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Logical and systematic approach to work Excellent communication skills IT literate, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills Enjoys working collaboratively across the business HOW TO APPLY Once you’ve applied for this role through this site youwill be required to complete an online application form and the details will be emailed over separately.
