1st Line Support Technician Chesterfield £19 - 22k VR/02119JD   We are looking for an enthusiastic 1st Line Support Technician to provide desktop support at our client's new site in Chesterfield and also at their site North of Doncaster (until closure in 2018), either over the phone or in person. There are pool cars available.   The Role • Provide 1st Line Service Desk support for incidents (problem/issues) or service requests related to hardware, software, network connectivity across the business • Administration of group server and network infrastructure. • Fault finding skills are important especially at network, printer and computer level • Maintenance of all technical and user documentation ensuring it is always up-to-date and accurate. • Management and control of backups and secure storage • Assist with hardware and software purchases including licensing and ISO standards • Assist with Active Directory and Exchange mailbox creation • VOIP and mobile phone support • You will be involved in all areas of the business that the company provides and work in a flexible manner to be able to offer various levels of support in-line with business requirements as necessary (i.e. testing and other project related tasks)   Skills & Experience • GCSE or equivalent • Previous experience in a 1st Line support role • Experience of troubleshooting MS Office 2010-2016 and MS Windows 7-10 • A practical use of TCP/IP networking within a recent job role • Desirable to have experience of a structured or ITIL based service desk and good working knowledge of IT hardware but not essential, training will be provided.
