Java Software Developer / OOD / Agile

This role would suit a Java Software Developer with 2-3 years of hands on experience working on algorithmic, scientific or simulation software. You will join an established and skilled team of colleagues working in an agile scrum environment on bespoke software for blue chip clients. Working on a desktop Java application you should have good OO design knowledge. Candidates with C++ or C# experience will also be considered and given time to pick up the slight differences in Java (SE). Knowledge of GUI design (AWT / Swing), Gradle, Jenkins or TDD will be an advantage. The Java Software Developer role will be working in a supportive environment with colleagues at all experience levels who can offer product and development expertise and support. A good educational background and communication skills are required, a degree in Computer Science or scientific subject is preferred, candidates with MSc or PhD will be considered as well.
