We’re Screwfix. Perhaps you know us. Perhaps you don’t. Either way, we’d like to let you in on a secret. We’re growing. By putting our customers first, we’re providing quality products, at competitive prices and a convenient shopping experience. It’s a winning formula. With 570 stores around the UK, we’re also expanding into Europe. And, thanks to our multi-million-pound leading UK website (not only are we listed in the Internet retailing 2017 Top 500 report, we’re also in the IRUK elite category), we already house 30,000 online products and attract 2.5 million weekly web visits too. As a Digital Designer, you’ll bring our products to life and give our customers a memorable online experience.

Let’s hammer out the detail

When our customers go online, we need to make sure it’s not just a good experience, but a great one. You’ll combine usability and accessibility with eye-catching design, to allow customers to easily find what they want and buy it – whether that’s on managing upgrades, to designing new pages, templates and emails, you’ll use your creativity to deliver a range of impactful designs.

Your skills toolbox

A talented digital designer, you’re already used to working in a fast-moving organisation where you’ve produced an impressive portfolio of websites and supporting digital materials. Experience of optimising HTML is essential, you’ll also need to be very adept when it comes to hand-coding, Dreamweaver and Photoshop. A basic knowledge of CSS is required, and you’ll also need to demonstrate you can build web pages for multiple browsers. We’re a team that works together, so you’ll need to be prepared to get involved and have the kind of positive, proactive approach which will mean you’ll fit right in.

Screwfix – the nuts and bolts

We haven’t got where we are today without taking risks. We own what we do. We work hard, but we make sure we balance that with fun along the way. With 570 stores across the country, we’re constantly opening new ones and there’s no sign of us slowing down. Join us, and you’ll be part of a dynamic organisation that’s investing in its people and going places.

Rewards – we’ve nailed it

We mentioned you’ll need to work hard…. That’s why we make every effort to thank you for your efforts. A competitive salary, xx days’ holiday, an award-winning company pension scheme, life cover, childcare vouchers, 20% discount with Screwfix and B&Q, discounted healthcare and company share save schemes are all on offer. We’ll also help you be the best you can be, with excellent training and ongoing development at your disposal too.

As we want to attract the best, we’re willing to move mountains… or at least help you move. Our competitive relocation package is designed to make things easier for you. Equally, we’re keen to help our people achieve a healthy work / life balance, so for certain roles we’re open to discussing flexible working (naturally this works better for some roles than others, but if we can help, we will).

Our policy is to employ the best qualified people and provide equal opportunity for the advancement of employees including promotion and training and not to discriminate against any person because of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief or disability.
