Peacocks Medical Group is currently looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join our growing internal IT team.

Peacocks is an exciting clinical manufacturing business providing orthotic clinical services, orthoses and custom made footwear to clients across the UK. The Company is a fourth generation family run business, at the forefront of orthotic service and manufacture having achieved national and international recognition, and now with an agenda for expansion and investment in product and service development.

As an experienced .NET developer you’ll already have confidence in your core skills whilst being aware of what you don’t know yet with a desire to learn and develop. A strong sense of personal belief is important, supported by previous experiences, references, and lessons learned on the way.

Based in our Newcastle office you will be at the heart of our business systems team creating excellent software for our customers nationally and in the future internationally.

We're looking for a .Net developer who is:

Highly motivatedSelf-DirectedAbility to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environmentTeam-playerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperienced with Agile/SCRUM methodology of software developmentExperience developing applications using Microsoft .NET framework, C#, WPF, Windows Forms and SQL ServerExperience with layering code into UI, Business and Data Access layersExperience developing and maintaining desktop applications written in .NETQualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experienceRequired Skills:

Strong development skills with .NET with C# on Visual Studio 2012 and Higher. Application is currently built using Windows Forms and WPF.Experience with WPF framework using MVVM patternStrong knowledge of XML and using it effectively in .NET frameworkUnit Testing using Mocking frameworks (Rhino Mocks or similar), NUnitSQL Server Development (TSQL, Stored Procedures)Web Service /API development & integration (WCF, REST API) - Must have experience integrating an Web-based API into a .NET Application following best practices for performance and maintainabilityEntity Framework (Must have used this heavily and knows the best practices)Strong Object Oriented development skills (knowledgeable with Inheritance, Interface usage, Dependency injection)TFS and/or GIT for source controlAgile development using SCRUMCandidate should be comfortable reviewing extensive Healthcare technology documentation to extract needed requirements and work with Business Analysts to refine & Implement solutions.Preferred Skills:

Highly Preferred - Development experience in Health Care industry focusing on HL7, CDA and QRDA document formatsPrevious Windows Forms development using C#Knowledge and Application of Design PatternsSoft Skills:

Team playerSelf-directedCommunication skills to present design, solution ideas to the teamEagerness to learn and apply new development technologiesThis is a full time, permanent position with a competitive salary and package available depending on experience.
